There is a lot of misconception between oils. And even the experts can get confused.

Refined vegetable oils can make us gain weight. Unrefined healthy oils can help us lose weight. When selecting healthier oils, look for 'unrefined', 'cold pressed' and 'organic'. This helps improve the quality of your oil and avoid nasty chemicals.


Refined oils are harmful to our health. They are produced through a process involving chemical purification; often bad chemicals such as hexane. They are commonly treated with acid, cleaned with an alkali and even bleached.
