Healthy Skin
First and foremost, Your skin needs maximum hydration. How does your skin achieve this? Through skin waterproofing.
Sebum is the natural oily substance that waterproofs your skin. Water and oil don’t mix. Having this oily layer prevents too much water from evaporating away, leading to skin dehydration.
For Super-dry Skin, it can be helpful to apply natural oils that can mimic the function of sebum. However, it is essential to continue to drink an average of 2 litres of water daily or you won’t reap the benefits of a protected, waterproof skin layer.
For Skin Acne, you will not have to apply oils onto your skin as it already produces enough sebum (oil). Rather you will need to consume healthy oils (olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil) and AVOID unhealthy oils (corn oil, canola oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil, and other refined oils, and fried foods). You will be surprised how many processed food products contain these refined oils as an ingredient.
Healthy oils assist with healthy skin. Skin-loving oils for dry skin: Coconut oil, Olive oil, Jojoba oil, Shea butter.
