Caffeinated Tea Caffeinated teas naturally contains caffeine. They include black tea, green tea, white tea and oolong tea which all come from the same plant (camellia sinensis) but processed differently. Black tea (Earl grey, English breakfast), has the highest range of caffeine, followed by green (matcha), oolong and then white tea. These are best in the morning and are an excellent replacement for coffee. Caffeine Content Coffee: 100-200mg/cup Black tea: 47-90mg/cup Green tea: 30-70mg/cup Oolong tea: 10-50mg/cup White tea: 6-55mg/cup Herbal Tea Teas with no caffeine include herbal teas such as peppermint, cinnamon, ginger, chamomile, rose, nettle, etc. They can be consumed anytime and in the evening since they contain virtually no caffeine.
