Bloating is Not Always a Diet Issue
Stress can cause bloating because it interferes with digestion.
Do you eat too fast? You need to spend time chewing your food thoroughly to prevent bloating.
Do you drink with your meals? Any type of cold liquid will worsen bloating. Cut out the drinks and have them at least an hour apart from your meals.
Do you eat sweets? Sugar causes bloating because it draws water with it everywhere it goes. The body tries to dilute the bad acid that sugar produces. On top of this, when sugar is consumed with your meals it can delay the digestion of other food in the stomach and worsen bloating. Sugar will also ferment in the stomach which increases gaseousness, lethargy and ageing.
